ROK Builders – History
ROK Builders grew out of a long legacy of success in the hospitality industry. As part of the Roedel Companies, it shares a history of achievement going back 40 years.
In 1968 Fred B. Roedel started Chalet Susse International. It became the largest private hotel company in the Northeast through its signature brands, Susse Chalet and Grand Chalet Hotels. Over thirty-two years, Susse Chalet developed, built, owned and managed over 65 hotels.
To help plan, construct and maintain this fleet of hotels, Chalet Susse put together a team of experienced developers and operators, along with experts in hotel construction and finance. This team now leads ROK Builders. Its track record of success is unique in the industry, with a depth and breadth of experience. We are now offering this knowledge and experience to investors and owners in the hospitality industry.
With Fred B. Roedell III as President and Robert Kukish, a long-time employee of Chalet Susse, on board as Director of Construction, ROK Builders provides hotel construction and renovations planning and management.
ROK Builders formed in 2004 and since its inception the company has completed the construction of two hotels with a third projected to open in June of 2008. In addition, they have renovated a total of eighteen hotels with another nine currently in process.
